Online Article Marketing for the Entrepreneur in a Competitive Field

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Will online article marketing using online article submission websites give your business the edge in a competitive field? Can the online Internet Entrepreneur use online article marketing to stand out amongst the competition and help them sell using informational marketing thru online article writing? I have personally written a number of articles on the Internet over the last 14 months and recently in an email an up and coming Internet Entrepreneur asks;

“We are in a tremendously competitive field and I’m always thinking how to increase our exposure. While I believe our rates rank among the best and that our service is exemplary, we have not truly attained any measure of financial success. Consequently, I believe we have to start writing more articles (although I cannot imagine ever writing the
5,500 articles that you’ve authored.)”

Well that totally depends on what you are selling and how big you consider your market. It also depends on how you go about your marketing. For instance if you market is Worldwide or Nationwide it makes sense to write online articles with your byline at the bottom for click thrus. If your market is more local, then it makes sense to write more articles and include them in a “Free Subscription Based Opt In” email newsletter. And it makes sense to also put them online at one of the top online ezine article submission websites. Your marketing plan should be such that it makes sense and if your goal is to make lots of money then you must be smart about how you play the game to get the most bang for your buck. Consider all this in 2006.

Algebra Studying

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Algebra is good at differentiating relationships between things that vary from time to time. For example, the relationship between a person’s income and advancement of his expenses could be learned and figured using easy algebraic equations. Math is not an easy subject for a large percentage of students. Many software applications are available with a mixture of study demonstration so students of any intellectual level can find the way that works for him/her. These software titles also helps students to understand importance of Algebra in real life as well as in industry field. Broader functions utilized in algebra include Graphing quadratic inequalities, Solving compound inequalities , Solving quadratic inequalities , Adding and Subtracting matrices etc.
Algebra is an important area of study but students can be demoralized initially if they do not work hard enough in early stages. This makes fundamental math skills vital to help students successfully advance from algebra and further into broader math with self-assurance.

How to Excel in Algebra

The algebra software on offer in the market today offer far more useful guidelines and help than what is included in formal textbooks, such as homework help, interactive guidelines, games and a worksheet tool or graphing calculator. The high quality software will have all these features as well as easy usability and coverage of wide area of themes.

The education tools are always useful for methods like text , audio, animation, video and games are put in to use. Schools and colleges require that students complete algebra courses from pre-algebra to algebra II. Important topics in these courses are: Finding complement of an angle, composition of functions, finding type of polynomial, determine if line is horizontal

How to Utilize Algebra Software

Some algebraic software shows results only, while other (much more suitable for elementary algebra) show all the steps as well as explanations of math concepts that are being used. For students, ease of use of the software is the number one requirement. Thus, the software better be loaded with value added features like high quality and timely user support, coordinated help options, and easily laid out math tutorials.

First Ironman? Avoid the Race-week Hype

Monday, April 27th, 2009

If you’re heading for your first Ironman you’ll find that there’s a lot of things going on when you get to the host venue.

Its easy to get caught up in the hype, but its important that you don’t do anything that will have an adverse effect on your Ironman experience.

The merchandise tent will open and will be full of t-shirts, jackets, sweaters and almost anything you can think of that will have that particular Ironmans name and year on it.

Its always nice to buy some of these items, but I would suggest waiting until after the race before you make your really “big” purchases.

Its after the race that the merchandise marked “finisher” will appear. “That’s” what you want to be sure and get your hands on. It can be expensive, so allow for it in your budget. Some people tend to go over-board before the race and stock up on merchandise. They don’t seem to realize that when they finish the race, the official finisher merchandise will have a lot of meaning to them.

Keep in mind that “Ironman” is a trademark and this merchandise is available at race sites only.

Usually on Wednesday the Expo tents will open. This is where you really have to be careful not to get carried away. You will see dozens of booths set up. You will see many new products that you’ve never seen on the market before. Nutitional supplements, footwear, swim goggles, wetsuits, bike equipment, bikes etc. etc. Most will proclaim to make your Ironman easier or faster.

It may be true or not, but it’s a huge mistake to try new things in a race that is only 3 or 4 days away. This is not the time to be making equipment changes that have not been tested “by you” over weeks or months of training.

Even more serious is introducing a new drink or new food(energy)supplement to your race when you have not had the opportunity to try it in training.

My suggestion– if you really like something you see and would like to try it, do this…..

Buy it to try when you return home should you decide to carry on your Ironman career. Most of the suppliers will have websites or addresses where you can also purchase their items at a later date. That would be the smart option to use.

I’m not saying the products are not good, I’m just saying that most will take some getting used to. You have to be sure that it works for you. An Ironman race-day is not the place to experiment.

Don’t get caught up in the hype.

Scuba Diving

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

The introduction of scuba gear (an acronym for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus), has redefined underwater diving altogether. Through the advances of technology, scuba gear allows people to dive deep below the surface of the water and still be able to breathe. Opening new avenues for exploration, scuba diving offers unlimited opportunities to unravel the mysteries of the underwater world.

The scuba diving system is the outcome of extensive technological research and innovation spanning almost 300 years. It is now the most widely used system for breathing underwater.

Scuba diving offers the divers unlimited freedom of movement under water because they swim with fins, minus any heavy equipment. The scuba gear is comparatively inexpensive and simple to operate and maintain. Scuba diving is currently used for recreational diving, as well as for conducting underwater tasks for military, scientific and commercial purposes.

Apart from the conventional mask and fins, a basic scuba set comprises a cylinder of compressed air attached to a two-stage “”demand regulator.”" The purpose of the regulator is to lower the air pressure from the cylinder and allocate it to the diver as needed.

Scuba diving is commonly sub-categorized into two types: open scuba and closed scuba. Open scuba allows the diver to breathe air from a cylinder or canister, and the exhaled air goes into the water and rises to the surface as bubbles. An improvisation of this model, closed scuba allows the diver to reuse the same gas.

Pursued professionally, as well as a hobby, scuba diving has been a blessing for scientists and researchers yearning to explore the underwater world.

World Cup Preview – Poland

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Outright Odds: 125/1
Group A Winners: 4/1

Following a disastrous 2002 World Cup campaign in which coach Jerzy Engel talked up his side’s prospects only for them to be beaten 2-0 by South Korea and hammered 4-0 by Portugal, Poland will be keen to recreate their former World Cup glories.

Under coach Pawel Janas, Poland made short work of their qualifying group, enjoying home and away victories against Austria, Azerbaijan, Northern Ireland and Wales. Two narrow 2-1 defeats to England prevented a clean sweep but eight wins out of 10 matches was more than enough to cement their place in the finals.

In qualifying they proved their ability to beat average teams convincingly and they will need to repeat this on the grand stage if they are to repeat their glorious campaigns of 1974 and 1982 in which they finished third. However, they also need to prove they have what it takes to beat the stronger sides as they did in 1974, when Argentina, Italy, Sweden and Yugoslavia were dispatched before beating Brazil to claim third place.

They certainly have the firepower to do so and Poland’s main strength lies in attack. During qualifying they cracked in 27 goals, notably the 8-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan and scored at least once in all 10 of their qualifying matches. More importantly, they scored 10 more than group winners England managed for all their multi-million pound’s worth of strikers and only three sides scored more goals than the Poles during the European qualifying campaign.

Elche striker Tomasz Frankowski, nicknamed “The Goals Hunter” and Celtic forward Maciej Zurawski fired in 14 goals between them during qualifying while Southampton’s Grzegorz Rasiak is also in contention.

Poland are also a side that is not short of experience. The expected starting line-up has an average age of over 30 while Jacek Krzynowek, Jamil Kosowski and Radolsaw Kaluzny have all played in the German Bundesliga. Four years ago the team struggled to cope with the climate in Korea and Japan but will have no such issues this time when making the short trip over the border into Germany.

Their only real weakness is at the back where they have developed a habit of conceding soft goals which will not go unpunished when they face a team in clinical mood.

Recommended Bet:
Poland have received a favourable draw in which they should arguably beat both Ecuador and Costa Rica with the local “derby” fixture against Germany sandwiched in between. The dismal failure of four years ago means the Poles cannot be backed confidently to win Group A, although they are strong enough to qualify from it.

Poland to qualify from Group A @ 8/15
Poland to beat Costa Rica @ 4/5

Soccer Team Position, Soccer Team Players Position and Set up, 5-4-1 Team Set up

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

5-4-1,

Defense;

5, defenders,

The addition to this defensive style is a central defender who can control the play from the back line.
This defender could also be an attacking player who will feed through balls to the striker. In addition to this the play maker will help create and initialze an attack from the defensive edge of the mid-field.
It can be thought that this player is also a mid-field player when the attack is mounted.

This team has this formation of positions in order not to lose.
They do not want goals scored against them and are usually willing to have a single goal scored for them and will to play for a draw, albeit 0-0.
It is also possible that their goalkeeper is not the “best” in the league.

It is possible however that this team has also been set up to play a strong attacking team.
This would mean that the coaching staff has done their homework and scouted the opposition.
All in all this team is more prepared to defend as opposed to attack.
This team is an opportunistic attacking team and will usually attack against the run of play.
This happens when the opposing team has made a mistake.

This system and idea can also produce and utilize the positions and concepts known as “wing back”.
These are the players who can make over-lapping runs from their defensive ends right to the opposing goal lines.

When communicated properly the following happens.

1) A full on attack has been launched.
At least 5 are attacking simultaneously.

2) The outside midfield has now become support, over lapping and or cutting in and out when and where necessary.

3) Positons have changed to reflect those areas (space) not covered.
The attacking team has changed the zonal aspects and created a player mis-match numerically.

4, mid-fielders are usually arranged as outside left, inside left, inside right and outside right.
The outside players are called, wingers or flank players and are also involved in striking the goal.
This would make this line up have a possibility of 4 strikers at any given time.
These wingers usually have the bulk of the running to do as they could carry the ball from the defending third and into the attacking third.
This also depends on the team strategy as outlined by the coaching staff.

The two inside midfielders are supposed to be the “play makers”. These are the individuals who are responsible for carrying out the plans the coach and players have designed and used as the methods of attack and goal scoring.
These positions have traditionally played these roles. However nowadays the play making comes from anyone and sometimes all the players at any given time.
These inside players have also been more defensive in their general on field play.
This defensive idea is to stop the opposition from creating attacking options.

This team will require a midfield who is willing to strike the goal at any given time.
Usualy 2 of these players are latent strikers.
They might feel confident that the defense is solid and willing to step up into the middle third of the field.
They then work in unison with the striker/forward.

This team is usually confident of their lone striker.
The striker in this formation actually acts as a post-up player. This means that this striker usually plays with the opposing defense at his/her back.
This player will try and stretch the defense, will receive the ball to lay it back to the oncoming team-mates to close the ground/space that this striker has created.
The cycle continues until a good scoring opportunity has been formulated.

Occationally this striker will turn and attack the goal when the timing is right.
This is usually communicated to the strikers by their team-mates.
However a great striker will sense these situations based on the run of play and the opportunities that this striker has created.

Running in The Zone: A Personal Account

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Running in The Zone has to be one of the most satisfying experiences. When it all fits together it can seem effortless and intensely rewarding. But why are some runs better than others? Is there anything we can do to help ourselves get into The Zone? Here is a personal account of one of my most memorable runs.

I hadn’t intended to go for a run following a ten miler the day before. But it looked such a beautiful summer’s evening I was tempted to get out for a three, maybe four mile jog. Following a warm-up I headed out at around eight o’clock. I wasn’t disappointed. It was perfect evening for running with a light fresh breeze, warm air and the birds singing.

I headed off down the hill and started my checklist – jaw is free not tight; I’m aware of my skull sitting on top of my spine and I’ve not stiffened my neck; my shoulders are relaxed and my arms swing freely from their ball and socket joints; I’m allowing the air to enter my nose and letting the ribs move into the gap between my torso and arms. I think ‘light arms’ to open up the muscles in the upper back to keep my upper body poised. Next I apply awareness to the space where my hips joints are and allow the legs to swing freely from these points. I maintain all of these thoughts as I allow my lower legs to fall and bounce back from the road giving me a lift right back up to the top of my head. That’s it! The hand break is off. A sudden lightness and simultaneous feeling of release and elation tell me I’m there. I’m now in the zone. I pass the first mile mark – a turn in the road.

I have consciously reached the zone by removing all the obstacles that prevented it happening. Because it was a conscious process that brought me here I am able to consciously maintain it.

Seemingly without effort, the hedgerows begin to flow by faster as I get a lift from the road’s surface. I keep up with my thinking, I call it ‘interactive awareness’, but it’s easier now as once there it requires no effort to maintain – its all encompassed in one thought.

Another two, three then four miles pass by and my pace is good. Perhaps slow by some standards but for me its fine; in fact it doesn’t really matter at the moment. I turn off the main road and start a climb of about half a mile. I consciously check for signs of my old habit of getting set to climb the hill. My face is free, no facial expression required to try harder in anticipation of this fairly steep section. I allow my arms to open up a little to increase the swing and imagine my head is releasing forward and upwards to lead my body up the hill. As the gradient gets steeper I become aware of a greater push (ground reaction force) and allow it to propel me up the hill as I keep my knees released so my lower legs stay swinging. My breathing has increased but I maintain an ‘upness’ and soon see the top of the hill.

Once over the brink I slow my pace a fraction and let the air flow into my lungs. With the hill out of the way and my breathing recovered I start to think about increasing speed. I hold this thought for a moement to prevent any inappropriate effort building up. Not too long ago this action would have brought my shoulders up and my head back as I pushed the pace. Now I just keep my shoulder and hip joints free and become aware of the direction my elbows and knees are moving. Even though I have followed this procedure thousands of times before, I still get a lift from seeing it in action. With little perceived effort I am now moving much faster. I have about a third of a mile to go downhill. I check that I’m not braking in fear of falling over – again another old habit. Letting go of my legs and keeping the hip, knee and ankle joints free I release and let gravity bring me down the gradient.

Dark clouds are gathering but the evening sun is still peeping through a slit in the horizon bringing a reddish tint to the cornfields on either side of the road. A warm light rain begins to fall and I get a picture of Gene Kelly singing in the rain. I feel his joy and there is ‘a smile on my face’. I pass the old barn with the rusty green tractor and know that’s seven miles. In another half-mile the road forks; the right one takes me home in about a mile; the left fork opens up more options. On some of my previous runs there would have been no debate as the short route home is very tempting. Tonight there is no question of ending it so soon and I head left taking me away from home. I don’t care about planning out any directions because at the moment I feel I could run all night.

I guess I’ve now covered about ten miles and start to feel the first signs of fatigue. I run though my checklist again to find my shoulders have lifted a fraction and I have collapsed a little in the torso. With this realisation I am able to release the shoulders, release my arms and return to a lighter state as my breathing opens up again.

I reach a crossroads and know it is three miles from home if I turn right; five miles if I go straight over; and God knows how far if I turn left. I make an informed decision and turn right, after all I don’t want to spoil this evening my pushing myself too far. The last three miles are a joy, partly due to maintaining an efficient style but mainly because I know I’m nearly home where a well deserved cool drink and bath are waiting. The rain has stopped and I can just see the sun starting to sink below the horizon. I arrive home and stay on a high until I go to bed.

This is why I run. Not for glory, not for achieving personal bests, its for times like this when everything comes together creating a feeling like no other. I’m fully engaged, being in the moment, enjoying every moment. This is living consciously in the here and now where I have total control and nothing can stop me.

The Realistic Odds of Winning the Euro Lotto and Does Anyone Stand a True Chance of Succeeding

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

The prospects of scooping the Euro Millions jackpot is a far-off one : seventy six million but the probability of winning a money prize is a somewhat decent one : 24. When the jack-pot is not won on a given lotto draw, it is brought forward to the next week that will result in an ever increasing jackpot prize. New regulations added on the 09-Feb-07 restrict the number of consecutive roll-overs to 11, with the jackpot rolling out to lower value levels succeeding the 11th draw when the prize is not won.

The Euro millions lottery or the Euro Lottery, as it’s ordinarily recognized, gathers the lotto ticket revenues of the 9 partaking Euro countries showing a gigantic Euro Lotto jackpot. With the sum of countries joining the Euro on the increase, this will without question will lead to more countries partaking in the Euro lottery. A growth in the amount of people partaking in the Euro Lotto will result in a lasting increase of the already huge Euro Millions jackpots.

The new rules also initiated Euro Lottery Super-Draw which happen twice annually and offer jackpots in the region of 100 million pounds. The difference with Super-Draws is that the jackpot must be collected during the week of the lotto draw; as a result, if there is no lottery ticket corresponding, all the drawn numbers then the top prize will then be allotted to the lotto ticket holder(s) in the succeeding winning prize tier.

Every participant has to choose five main numbers from 1 to 50 plus 2 Lucky-star numbers from one to nine. During the Euromillions draw five primary plus two lucky star numbers are then picked out at random from two draw machines containing numbered balls.
